The SELECTION CRITERIA are:


Inclusion criteria (these should all apply)

• Moderate OSA on CPAP fulfilling NICE criteria for CPAP (AHI between 15 and 29 with symptoms)

• Type 2 diabetes

• Obesity BMI ≥30 and ≤40 Kg/m2

• Age ≥ 18 years

• Capable of giving informed consent
 

 

 

Once the participants have given their consent to join in the trial and are found to qualify for it, then they will receive:
• 3-monthly Sleep apnoea health checks with sleep studies, compliance with CPAP
• 3-monthly Diabetes health checks which includes weight, body mass index, blood pressure, blood tests for glucose, HbA1c(diabetes control), cholesterol and liver function tests, dietician support
• Support from the research staff
