Use your expertise to
help us beat diabetes
The Council of
Healthcare Professionals is a multidisciplinary advisory body whose
members inform the work of Diabetes UK and provide us with feedback on
whether we are meeting the needs of healthcare professionals and people
living with diabetes. The Council also provides support and advice on
areas of specific interest to healthcare professionals.
There are a number of
vacancies available on the Council starting in January 2012. These are
open to all healthcare professionals with a specialism or interest in
diabetes. The Council meets four times a year and you would be invited
to provide input to consultations between meetings. There will also be
the opportunity to take part in project work on key issues for the
charity and healthcare professionals.
Members will be
expected to demonstrate an ability to think strategically, put across
the perspective of their profession, question constructively, take an
active part in all meetings and contribute to consultations via email.
Being a member of
Council will be both challenging and rewarding. Working in partnership
with us, you can use your expertise to help us beat diabetes.
To apply please send a
CV and covering letter, explaining why you want to join the Council and
what you can contribute, to
patrick.little@diabetes.org.uk by
1 November 2011. An
application pack containing further information is attached. If you have
any queries, please contact Patrick Little on

Best
wishes,
