NATIONWIDE AUDITS |

The members only
website, being a Microsoft "Sharepoint" website, has the facility to
easily set up on-line questionnaires for the purposes of conducting
nationwide audits. Areas that have been suggested for such audits include
cerebral oedema in DKA, "found dead in bed" syndrome, gastroparesis,
amyotrophy, insulin neuritis and necrobiosis lipoidica. None of these have
so far been undertaken. Completed audits include triple oral therapy and glitazones
with insulin. Ongoing audits include Charcot joint (led by Fran Game),
Exubera audit (led by Ian gallen), ACS audit (led by Peter Winocour). Any ABCD member would like to set up and supervise a nationwide audit is invited to contact Bob Ryder (see "homepage - contact us" for e mail address) |
